Love Is A Losing Game

Love is a losing game
Always been the same
Heart singing in the pouring rain
Goes down like a blazing flame
Its better to close the door
Try hard to ignore
Those feelings down inside
The ones that say you can fly
'Cause love is a losing game
He'll tattoo his name
All over your skin
You'll be too tempted to give in
Then he'll throw you to the hounds
Lay your body in the cold ground
And remind you love is a losing game
Its always been the same
Don't you read the paper
Forget those movies and songs
They write it all wrong
Real life don't work out that way
Love is a losing game
Don't you be afraid
Hear what I say
Love is a losing game

After Midnight

Somewhere after midnight
In my wildest fantasies
Someone just beyond my reach
I see him look back at me
Racing on thunder and
Rising with the heat
I can feel his hands wash down over me
And I know who he is
I've seen him once before
A long time ago
Hair tickling my skin
I turn and watch him go

Tears of rain pour down to the ground
And I beg for him to stick around
But he just smiles and bows his head
Saying he'll be back again someday
And I know who he is
I've seen his face before
I'd never forget those eyes
Shinning like diamonds in the sky
But somewhere after midnight
That's when he comes to me
Raining love down on me
So I must believe he'll come back to me
Someday...
