Every now and then
My heart wanders back in time
And awakens all those
memories in my mind
Sometimes, it catches me by surprise
the way my heart will ache
to recall your voice, your kindness
the look in your eyes, the smile on your face
I can remember it all so clearly
Back when you were my friend
I wonder how life might be
If you were still here with me
It's in that moment that I miss you
And wish we could begin again
As I move on to somebody new
These questions still plague my mind
Maybe I'll never know the answers
But I know this much is true
In my heart
There will always be
A place for you
