Wonder (poem-unfinished)

Leaves brush the land
As light leaves my hand
Close my eyes I see your face
Behind the lids you never fade
Alone I sit and stare at the moon
I wonder if you think of me, too

Far across the miles
Darkness squeezes into aisles
Between the dusty haze
Where my dreams lie 'n wait
I slither beneath the misty hues
And wonder if you dream of me, too

Lie upon the grassy field
Crushed beneath warm steel
Where day meets the night
Alone I lie and stare at the sky
I wonder if you miss me, too
