Worth the Risk (poem)

They say love comes when you least expect it
Like a butterfly it'll land right on your shoulders
If I had never had the pleasure of meeting you
I could never believe that it was, at all true
You have got my heart in the palm of your hands
I have become your puppet on a string
If you called me right now I'd come running
Happily with my tail between my legs
Now don't let that go to your head
I most certainly could live without you
But why on earth would I even want to
While everyone else becomes too busy for you
Don't forget about the girl who went and fell for you
Who would happily move heaven and earth
Just for the chance to be with you
Even if all she was granted was a temporary stay
That is just who I am,  I fight for something I find worthy
I do believe underneath all that outer facade is a wonderful man
I got to meet him one autumn night when he sat down at my side
Now if it means breaking my heart for having to let you go
I would bet my own life that it would surely be worth it all
